Columbia ice storms bring out the would be
Polemic sliders, who?ve accepted this
As the now or never fearless debut
Of skating without skates,
Lone showoffs who brave the frozen tundra outside their doors
Wearing nothing but slick bottom boots, tight pants
And hooded parkers
In the distance a SC siren screams

Pinecycles
Heaven rained a frozen glaze of ice
On trees determined to stand it?s weight
Of wind, snow and rain
Pinecycles hung like frozen broccoli heads
Waiting for warmth to render them tender
A squirrel waits its time
