FOR THE NEW YEAR
The devil is very busy And he's trying much too hard To see whom he can devour That is a child of God But I am here to tell you That he is way to late Because Jesus has already beat him And is already at heaven's gate We are about to embark Upon a brand new year Filled with joy and laughter With peace and love and good cheer The Lord is truly smiling As He waits at the finish line Be ye steadfast and immovable For He has control of your time Favor is not fair But we are covered in it Soaked completely to the bone Every hour and every minute So for this brand new year Take it one day at a time Remeber God is with you With a new skin and some new wine Linda Darnelle Bowman |
