I have a master’s in English from Winthrop University and am currently writing my dissertation for completion of my PhD in Organizational Management at Capella University.

I have seven years’ experience in a corporate environment as marketing copy writer, sales professional, corporate trainer, and business analyst. I have eight years’ experience in higher education as an adjunct instructor in English at Strayer University and most recently have been put on staff at Midlands Technical College.

My passion for fiction writing has always been behind a closed door as I pursued professional aims. But now, using the NAIWE blog, I am publishing more fiction and seeking feedback. I won a "best first page" contest for my oldest novel and have been receiving editing remarks from beta readers on a second novel. I plan to submit to literary magazines this fall.
