The  Columbia Writers Alliance Presents:

Line by Line: Poetry Workshop

Date: Tuesday, April 27th

Time: 6:30 p.m.

Place: Richland County Public Library, Downtown

Assembly Street

Baker & Baker Room (Lower Level)

Where should we break the line? This workshop will pay close attention, in minute detail, to several of the elements that go into writing a publishable poem. We'll do word by word, line by line readings of published poets’ work. We will look at line breaks, punctuation, sound, and how to create a poem that demands the attention of the reader.  We will read and write exciting new poems that do more than simply rhyme lines or tumble words onto the page. The workshops will foster honest, direct, and thoughtful critiques, but will be a place where everyone’s individual voice will be heard and welcomed.

*Workshop will be limited to 15 participants.
