About Columbia Writers Alliance
The purpose of The Columbia Writers Alliance, founded in August 2002, is to provide a forum for constructive critiquing, to offer helpful suggestions and information, and to afford participants an encouraging atmosphere in which to share successes and disappointments. The group is open to all writers and aspiring writers.
GOAL
To encourage authors and aspiring writers to become published authors and to help through monies donated or raised, each first-time author to become published either by giving $50 towards their ISBN or $50 towards their publication. Also, to build a scholarship fund to help underprivileged children attend classes at Katherine E. Bellfield Cultural Arts Center free of charge. To open the doors to children, ages 8-16 who desire to become poets/writers by providing training, workshops, classes, etc.
